A DISSEMINATION EVENT FOR DISSEMINATING THE PROJECT OUTCOMES TOOK PLACE IN ANTALYA

On the 9th of November Twinning Project “Capacity Building Concerning Presentation and Usage of the General Government Financial Statistics” organised dissemination event in order to share project main outcomes with the provincial level stakeholders, with special regard to the three following results: the Citizens Final Account Report for Turkey, the Open Data strategy for public finance statistics, the Guidelines for Public Financial Analysis Techniques.
The event took place at the Cam Piramit premises in Antalya and it was attended by more than 100 persons, coming from all parts of the territory of Turkey such as the DGPA provincial offices, municipalities and universities of Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Çukurova, Denizli, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Izmir, Kayseri, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Konya, Kütahya, Mardin, Mersin, Yozgat, Pamukkale, Şanlıurfa and Samsun.
After the welcoming speech of the General Secretary of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, Mr Birol EKICI, Mr Ertan ERUZ – DGPA Director General – presented the strategy of the Ministry of Finance for increasing the public financial practices in relation to the know-how shared thanks the cooperation between Turkish and Italian Ministries of Finance during the Twinning implementation. An overview of the Project was then offered by the Italian Resident Twinning Advisor, Mr Nicola IANUTOLO, who underlined the results of the project activities. The Citizens Budget website of DGPA and The Citizens Budget of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality were presented during the event, together with the Strategies of DGPA towards Open Data and the Guidelines for Public Financial Analysis thanks to the presentations of both Italian and DGPA experts. The event was closed by Mr Yusuf GEZBELI, Beneficiary Country Project Leader, who asked to the local stakeholders to share the Citizens Final Account Report and the Guidelines for Public Financial Analysis with their management departments in order to disseminate them, review them and to provide feedback about how to improve them, since these new are instruments which can be upgraded also by means of new ideas and contributions coming directly from the provinces.
